Saturday February 14th:

Creek (#2 seed) lost their semi-final match to Marin (#3 seed) by a score of 12 to 7 in yet another hard fought match.  Sam Warren scored Creeks only try with Ian Small making the 2 pt conversion.  Creek won their 3rd placed match by forfeit and finished with an overall record of 3 wins and 2 losses.  Marin went on to beat Scotsdale in the championship match.  Overall, the team played great and we are very proud of these young men.

Friday February 13th:  The Creek Rugby boys played very well today completing the first day with a record of 2 wins and 1 loss which is good enough to place them in the top four teams and into the championship round for Saturday.  Creek beat Marin (San Francisco) 5 to 0 with Ryan Hellman scoring the only try of the match.  In the second match Creek lost to Scottsdale (Arizona) 14 to 5.  Ryan Brennan scored Creeks only try.  This was a match in which the team came out a little flat in the first half, but played a strong second half.  Scottsdale commented that they were impressed that Creek was just one high school whereas Scottsdale is an all-star team.  In the third and final match of the day, Creek beat a very good Strathcona (Canada) team 17 to 5.  BZ Zerr, Ryan Gifford, and Ryan Brennan each had tries with Ian Small making one 2pt conversion.
